U.S. Marines with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Africa form a wall of shields alongside members of the French National Gendarmerie to protect a simulated U.S. Embassy during a riot control exercise at the National Gendarmerie Training Center in St. Astier, France, May 13, 2016. This exercise helped reinforce the strong relationship between the United States and France and prepared the Marines and Gendarmes to work together in possible real-world scenarios at embassies around Europe and Africa.
