JB Kearns, a former member of 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, presents Lt. Col. Gary McCullar, the battalion commander of 2nd CEB, with the dog tag of Staff Sgt. Jason Rogers during the “Sapper 50” memorial run at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, June 4, 2016. The run was to honor the 29 fallen CEB Marines who gave their lives during Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Kearns came to support the Marines during the run and honor Rogers who saved his life during OEF.
