Cpl. Joshua Garza, a mortarman with Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 5th Regiment holds the instant eye system before it’s employed at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, June 22, 2016. The system is designed to provide enhanced combat awareness for Marines while in a combat zone. The system will also be tested during exercise Rim of the Pacific with partner nations. The Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory is conducting a Marine Air-Ground Task Force Integrated Experiment to explore new gear and access its capabilities for potential future use.
