U.S. Marines show Indonesian soldiers the proper way to strap into the chair of a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter July 5, 2016, at Marine Corps Base Hawaii. This training is designed to enhance the interoperability of the combined RIMPAC forces across during military operations in the maritime environment. Exercise Rim of the Pacific 16 is the world's largest international maritime exercise, and provides a unique training opportunity that helps participants foster and sustain cooperative relationships that are critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and on the world's oceans. RIMPAC 2016 is the 25th exercise in the series that began in 1971.
