U.S. Marine 1st Lt. Michael McDonald helps a Mongolian Armed Forces soldier adjust his mechanical advantage control holds techniques during Non-Lethal Executive Seminar (NOLES) 2016 at the Five Hills Training Area, Mongolia, Sept. 16, 2016. McDonald is the officer in charge of the Marines participating in NOLES. Mongolian soldiers and police learned mechanical advantage control holds techniques as an additional non-lethal option when apprehending suspects. NOLES is a regularly scheduled field training exercise and leadership seminar hosted annually by various nations throughout Asia Pacific.
