U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Richard L. Simcock, a native of San Mateo, California, addressed the importance of blue-green integration and the strategic role it plays in the dynamic region. Blue Chromite is a U.S.-only exercise which strengthens the Navy-Marine Corps expeditionary, amphibious rapid-response capabilities based in Okinawa and the greater Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
