Bottles of cold green tea rest on a table during a green tea seminar Nov. 22 on Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. The tea seminar educated attendees on the proper preparation, health benefits and cultural background of Japanese green tea, also called matcha. During the seminar, a certified tea specialist explained the importance of applying the proper process of steeping the tea, due to the way its nutrients are extracted. The students also learned about the different nutrient properties that result from steeping their tea at different temperatures. Some of the most prominent nutrients in green tea include vitamin c, beta-carotene vitamin e and more. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Janessa K. Pon)
