U.S. Marines prepare to move 2nd Lt. Mark Mabry role playing as a downed pilot during a Tactical Recovery of Aircraft and Personnel training event. 2nd Lt. Mabry is an infantry officer, and is a native of Benson, Ariz. The Marines are with 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, and are conducting a TRAP training event in Exercise Bougainville II at Landing Zone Boondocker, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, on Oct. 26, 2017. Exercise Bougainville II prepares 2nd Bn., 3rd Marines for service as a forward deployed force in the Pacific by training them to fight as a ground combat element in a Marine Air-Ground Task Force.
