Mural Design Created in adobe illustrator that was unveiled during Marine Week Detroit Sept 9th, 2017. The mural gives a history of the trials and tribulations that the Montford Point Marines had to endure to earn the title Marine as well as their sacrifices that often went un-recongnized during events such Iwo Jima. Throughout the design there are also Marines whom served from Detroit. The end of the design salutes back to those who served before us, some giving the ultimate sacrifice.
