On Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018, the Marine Band performed a concert titled “A Symphonic Epic” at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland in College Park. The concert featured Johan de Meij conducting his own Symphony No. 1, The Lord of the Rings, followed by Colonel Jason Fettig conducting the first movement and Finale of Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 3 in D minor.
