Recruits with Alpha Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, are getting evaluated during a final drill evaluation at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Dec. 22. During evaluations, drillmasters score the platoons based on their uniforms, bearing, movements, as well as the drill instructor’s cadence and sword control. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Alpha Company is scheduled to graduate Feb. 1.
