U.S. Marine Corps Pfc. Aristeo Morales, a field artillery cannoneer with Battery A, 1st Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, digs an entrenchment for an M777 towed 155 mm howitzer during a live-fire defense simulation at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, Calif., March 30, 2021. The Marines dug these entrenchments during a live-fire defense training evolution to brace the guns as they fired on a notional enemy in defense of their position.
