U.S. Marines with Company A., 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin dismount two MV-22B Ospreys during Exercise Koolendong at Bradshaw Field Training Area, NT, Australia, Aug. 29, 2021. U.S. Marines and Australian Army soldiers worked together to conduct a simulated aerial assault during the exercise. Exercise Koolendong validates MRF-D’s and the Australian Defence Force’s ability to conduct expeditionary command and control operations, demonstrating the shared commitment to being ready to respond to a crisis or contingency in the Indo-Pacific region.
