U.S. Marine Corps Pfc. Rhashied Patterson, left, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and Lance Cpl. Collin Scott, a native of Champion, Ohio, both combat engineers with Engineer Platoon, 1st Battalion, 2d Marine Regiment, 2d Marine Division, cut down a tree during the Expeditionary Military Trails Project at Camp Lejeune, N.C., Oct. 27, 2021. The Marines utilized the newly-fielded equipment gaining proficiency in constructing combat expedient roads and providing obstacle clearance for moving troops and logistics throughout a contested environment.
