U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Wilfredo Hernandez, an assault amphibious vehicle crewman, and Voorhees, New Jersey native, with 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division launches a Puma Unmanned Aircraft System from an AAV during a field exercise on Camp Lejeune, N.C., Jan. 25, 2022. 2nd AABn tested the capability of an assault amphibious vehicle and a light armored vehicle with Remote Weapon Systems as a suitable land-based platform for mobile reconnaissance and scouting.
