U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Alexander Clear, a motor transport operator with Combat Logistics Regiment 17, 1st Marine Logistics Group, and Lance Cpl. John Meyer, a maintenance management specialist with CLR-17, grapple during a green belt Marine Corps Martial Arts Program culminating event on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., March 14, 2022. This event was the final test of the Marines’ physical, mental and character disciplines. The Marine Corps first implemented MCMAP in 2002 with the intention to develop the moral, mental, and physical resiliency of individual Marines and ultimately their unit as a whole.
