U.S. Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron 372, Marine Air Control Group 38, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, and U.S. Navy Sailors with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 5 lay concrete to expand a vertical take-off and landing pad as part of Exercise Turning Point at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, June 5, 2022. Turning Point is a combat operation readiness exercise designed to support and enable fleet maneuver and logistics, enhance joint interoperability, and increase the combat readiness of multiple services. 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing’s warfighting readiness directly enables aviation superiority in support of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force and joint operations and deters potential adversaries.
