Maj. Gen. David W. Maxwell takes command of Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM) during a ceremony at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall on July 15, 2022. The ceremony recognized the significance of the passage of command and formally appointed the incoming commander. MCICOM exercises command and control of Marine Corps installations via regional commanders in order to provide oversight, direction and coordination of installation services and to optimize support to the Operating Forces, tenants and activities.
