U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Derek Delamater, an aerial observer assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 162 , 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, looks out the rear of a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter during Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise I over Marine Corps Outlying Field Oak Grove, North Carolina, Dec. 13, 2022. Marines with VMM-162 and Battalion Landing Team 1/6 conducted flight operations heading to a forward arming and refueling point during MEUEX I. FARPs are designed to supply fuel and ordnance necessary during helicopter and fixed-wing operations.
