A U.S. Navy landing craft, air cushion with Assault Craft Unit 5 approaches a beach to drop off aviation command and control and aviation ground support equipment for Marine Aircraft Control Group 38, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing during exercise Steel Knight 23 on San Clemente Island, California, Dec. 6, 2022. MACG-38 provides all domain command and control and aviation ground support to enable the six functions of Marine Aviation. Exercise Steel Knight 23 provides 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing an opportunity to refine Wing-level warfighting in support of I Marine Expeditionary Force and fleet maneuver.
