U.S. Marines with Battalion Landing Team 2/1, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, conduct dry fire practice prior to a live-fire exercise at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, May 5, 2023. The Marines of BLT 2/1 conducted dry and live-fire exercises in order to refresh and maintain their skill in close quarters marksmanship. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
