U.S. Marines with Lima Company 3rd Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, Marine Corps Forces Reserve, race to assemble and disassemble the Colombian standard-issue rifle under the guidance of Colombian instructors during UNITAS LXIV aboard Escuela de Formación de InfanterÃa Marina Coveñas in Coveñas, Colombia, July 12, 2023. The blindfolds add an extra challenge after the Marines have already familiarized themselves with the Colombian standard-issue rifles. UNITAS focuses on strengthening our existing regional partnerships and encouraging the establishment of new relationships through the exchange of maritime mission-focused knowledge and expertise.
