A U.S. Marine Corps F/A-18C Hornet aircraft with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 115 takes off from Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, Sept. 28, 2023. VMFA-115 is set to return to their home air station of MCAS Beaufort, South Carolina, following their six-month unit deployment program tour with Marine Aircraft Group 12. For over forty years, the F/A-18 augmented U.S. Armed Forces and this tour marked VMFA-115’s final UDP tour as an F/A-18 squadron.
