U.S. Navy Capt. Tate Robinson, left, Commodore of Amphibious Squadron 5 and the oldest Marine present during the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit cake cutting ceremony, speaks to the youngest Marine, U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Before commissioning in the Navy, Robinson enlisted in the Marine Corps as a rifleman in 1991. The cake cutting ceremony was held on the second day of the 15th MEU’s 249th Marine Corps birthday celebrations as Boxer transited past the international dateline.
