U.S. Marines with 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit board U.S. Army Vessel Major General Charles P. Gross (LSV-5) while conducting Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure (VBSS) training, on the James River near Fort Eustis, Virginia, April 24, 2025. Led by II Marine Expeditionary Force Expeditionary Operations Training Group, the VBSS training sharpened the 22nd MEU's edge in vessel boarding and maritime interdiction, enhancing their readiness and lethality in preparation for future operational requirements.
