Tyrone Taborn, Career Communications Group Publisher, and Kendall T. Harris, Prairie View A&M University Engineering Dean, present Maj. Ralph Featherstone, operations analyst, Headquarters Marine Corps, Manpower Reserve Affairs, with the Modern Day Technology Leadership award, at the Modern Day Technology Leadership Luncheon, part of the 26th Annual National Black Engineer of the Year Awards (BEYA) Science Technology Engineer Math (STEM) Global Competitiveness Conference, Feb. 17, Philadelphia. These awardees are women and men who are shaping the future of engineering, science, and technology. The luncheon led into the 7th Annual Stars and Stripes Dinner, which was hosted by the Marine Corps. Gen. James F. Amos, Commandant of the Marine Corps, was the keynote speaker, and stressed the importance of reaching out to the best and brightest technology minds in the country.
