Gates, 19th commandant of the Marine Corps, in Arlington National Cemetery Nov. 10. Six teams from the Barracks visited various graves of former commandants and sergeants major of the Marine Corps in the National Capital Region to honor those former leaders of the Corps on the 236th Marine Corps birthday.
