Dr. Charles Farwell, a physician with Navy healthcare, executes pull-ups while Jesse Lujan, a local biochemist, performs push-ups at CrossFit SoCal in Mira Mesa, Calif., Dec. 28. The cross-fitters spent 20 minutes doing as many pull-ups, push-ups and squats as possible for their daily workout.
