Shawn Arnold, an aircraft recovery crew leader with Marine Wing Support Squadron 473 and a San Diego native, reports that the Improved Fresnel Lens Optical Landing System is ready aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Oct. 11. The IFLOLS is designed to give glidepath information to pilots to help them land.
