A Rock climber uses her upper body strength at San Diego’s Solid Rock Gym Nov. 24. Rock climbing can be a fun and effective way to help prepare Marines for the Combat Fitness Test. Solid Rock Gym has more than 115 top ropes, making it difficult to replicate climbing routes. Marines can increase their physical and mental health, particularly upper body strength through rock climbing. The gym serves as a worthwhile activity for Marines during their free time.
