060331-M-7082F-001 CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. -- 1st Lt. David Russel was awarded the Silver Star medal by Maj. Gen. Richard F. Natonski in a ceremony here March 31. Russel earned the Silver Star for his actions on May 3, 2005 at Al Ramadi. Russel is a 25-year-old from Georgetown, Tx. and a platoon commander with Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division.
