Marines wait for their meals of shawarma sandwiches and falafels at the DedeMed’s Shawarma House stand in the 14 Area of Camp Pendleton, Feb. 16. Currently, DedeMed’s Shawarma House is in the “rotational concession” stage of Camp Pendleton’s eateries. In this stage, the eatery travels to different camps on various days to determine the success rate of Mediterranean food on the base. Marine Corps Community Services is constantly testing new dining options for service members to make them feel more at home.
