A group of Marines takes part in the 10-minute jump rope challenge as part of the “Jump Start Your Heart” event at the 43 Area fitness center, Feb. 17. The goal of the challenge is to jump rope continuously for 10 minutes in an effort to improve heart and cardiovascular health. Semper Fit puts on the event multiple times throughout the month of February as part of American Heart Month. Semper Fit offers information for heart and cardiovascular health year-round at the Health Promotions Center, through free fitness assessments by personal trainers on base and free cholesterol testing.
