Camp Pendleton Marines sit and enjoy a lobster and steak meal at base's 24 Area Mess Hall in celebration of the Corps 235th Birthday, Nov. 9. Marines, sailors and civilians patiently waited outside the mess hall's doors to enjoy the ample lobster, steak, breaded shrimp, baked potatoes, French onion soup, shrimp cocktail, deviled eggs, salad and most importantly, birthday cake. Each year, on the Marine Corps birthday of Nov. 10, Marines exemplify camaraderie by celebrating the establishment of their service and even sharing a midday meal with each other.
