John Iwaniec, Marine Corps Community Services director; Ginna Benke, JD’s Grille executive chef; Christopher Braswell, JD’s Grille club manager; and Col. James C. Stewart, station commanding officer, cut a ribbon to officially open JD’s Grille here for business during a ceremony Aug. 16. JD’s Grille is named for Cpl. Jason Dunham, the first Marine to receive a Medal of Honor during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. The restaurant menu features many of the same specials as the old grill with a few additions, including steaks and pastas.
