Sgt. Maj. Gerard J. Calvin, Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 12 sergeant major, performs the opening remarks during the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. commemoration tribute which took place in the Club Iwakuni dining room here Jan. 13. Speakers could be seen practicing their lines before the other residents::r::::n::arrived. Calvin talked about the importance of Kings dedication to equality during his life as well as the lasting effect that he had on the world.
