Lance Cpl. Mark Ridoloso, left, Marine Attack Squadron 311 powerline mechanic, and Lance Cpl. Michael Connor, Marine Wing Support Squadron 371 bulk fuel specialist, refuel a VMA-311 AV-8B Harrier while another prepares to take off at the Auxiliary Airfield 2 in Yuma, Ariz., Jan. 25, 2010. AUX-2 is an aircraft carrier flight deck replica, which squadrons use to practice carrier operations before working off of an actual carrier. VMA-311 trained at AUX-2 Jan. 25-28, 2010, in preparation for their carrier qualification aboard the USS Peleliu in February 2010. The squadron is scheduled to deploy to the Peleliu with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit in May 2010. Part of the squadron deployed to Japan with the 31st MEU earlier this month.
