Lt. Col. Robert C. Fulford, center, the commanding officer of Battalion Landing Team, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit and Lt. Col. Robert S. Morgan, the operations officer of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 263 (Reinforced), 22nd MEU, cut the Thanksgiving Day cake on the mess deck of multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) Nov. 26, 2009. The 22nd MEU, embarked aboard the ships of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group, is transiting the Atlantic Ocean on its return from a seven-month deployment.
