During Operation New Market in Haditha, Iraq, Team 4, Detachment 4, 5th Civil Affairs Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force (FWD), led by Maj. Matthew D. Chisholm, visited Haditha Hospital. The team made assessments of damage done when a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device was driven into an outer wall, causing damage to one wing of the hospital. According to Cmdr. David C. Lu, medical officer and civil affairs liaison, the team will work closely with Dr. Rafe, Director General of Health, Al Anbar province, and the Ministry of Health so the hospital can meet it's Level 3 status.
