From June to December 2024, U.S. Marines and Sailors with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable), II Marine Expeditionary Force, deployed to the U.S. Navy’s Six Fleet area of operations in the Mediterranean Sea. The 24th MEU continued to strengthen and reinforce interoperability capabilities with ally partner nations in the Eastern Mediterranean region, while being ready to respond to potential crisis in the forward theater. The primary mission while forward deployed was to posture for crisis response. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl. Daniel Childs and Sgt. Elton Taylor)
