Marine Corps Tap and Torque Test for E-SAPI Plates

This video gives instruction on how to properly perform the tap and torque tests for the Enhanced Small Arms Protective Inset (E-SAPI) plates. The tap test is conducted to inspect for delamination and the torque test is conducted to check for cracks in the plate. Issuing organizations should conduct the tap test prior to issue and users should periodically conduct the torque test. For more information or training, contact Product Manager Infantry Combat Equipment at PdMICE@USMC.MIL.
