Jessica Smith, the battalion surgeon with Ground Combat Element, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, discusses the Valkyrie Fresh Whole Blood program at Robertson Barracks, Darwin, NT, Australia, July 15, 2020. The program allows for Corpsman to be trained to take fresh blood from one Marine and immediately provide that blood to another Marine who needs it on a battle field.
