A Retirement Ceremony was held for U.S. Marine Corps Col. Jack P. Monroe at Pacific Views Event Center, Camp Pendleton, Calif., on 18 July, 2014. U.S. Marine Corps Brig. Gen. John W. Bullard, Commanding General, MCIWest-MCB Camp Pendleton, retires Col. Monroe after 27 years of service. During the ceremony, Col. Monroe is awarded the Legion of Merit (Gold Star in lieu of Second Award) for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding service as Director of Aviation and Operations Division, MCIWEST-MCB Camp Pendleton, from March 2013 to July 2014.
