U.S Marines with Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, and Australian Army soldier with Charlie Company, 5th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, 1st Brigade, Australian Defence Force, execute an air assault course July 8 during Exercise Talisman Sabre 15 at Bradshaw Training Area, Northern Territory, Australia. Exercise Talisman Sabre is designed to improve U.S. – Australian combat readiness and interoperability, maximize combined training opportunities and conduct maritime prepositioning and logistics. The exercise allows U.S. – Australian forces to work together and further enhance the key partnership the two nations share in their pursuit of defense in the region. (U. S.
