GULF OF ADEN (July 5, 2015) An MV-22B Osprey from the "Greyhawks" of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 161 (Reinforced), 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, lands on the flight deck of the French amphibious assault ship BPC Dixmude (L9015). The U.S. Marines and Sailors of the 15th MEU and Essex Amphibious Ready Group worked with the French Navy to improve interoperability and maintain strong bi-lateral ties. The "Greyhawks" are the aviation combat element of the 15th MEU, and embarked aboard the ships of the Essex ARG, are deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
