No man left behind: U.S. Marine laid to rest after 76 years

Sgt. Millard Odom, a member of Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, was killed in action at the Battle of Tarawa during World War II on Nov. 20, 1943. After retrieving and identifying his remains, Odom was laid to rest in Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, Nov. 20, 2018, 76 years after his death. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl.
