Golf company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion completed The Crucible and were awarded their Eagle, Globe and Anchor along with their new title of Marine Dec. 29, 2018, on Parris Island, S.C. Recruits earn the title of Marine after completing the 54-hour culminating event of the Crucible. The Crucible is designed to test and ensure young men and women are ready to become Marines.
