U.S. Marines with Marine Corps Recruiting Command, engage with coaches at the Marines' booth at the National Association of Basketball Coaches annual convention in Phoenix, Ariz., on April 4, 2024. The Marines and NABC are committed to offering the opportunity to develop new relationships with basketball coaches to build trust and create a larger pool of advocates to access talented young men and women. During the opening ceremony, Brig. Gen. James A Ryans II, commanding general of Western Recruiting Region, remarked to the coaches in attendance, “more about what we do is alike than different,” regarding the development of young men and women in character, as well as physically.
