U.S. Marine Corps crew chiefs with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, and Navy crew chiefs with Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25, lowers a Sailor from an MV-22B Osprey during integrative advanced hoist training aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America in the Coral Sea, July 16, 2021. Navy crew chiefs with HSC-25 instructed Marine crew chiefs with VMM-265 on how to lower advanced rescue equipment for lifting service members out of the water during emergency situations. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the America Expeditionary Strike Group in the U.S. 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
