U.S. Marine Corps Pfc. Tykeim Simoneaux, a Vacherie, Louisiana, native and rifleman with 2d Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2d Marine Division, fires his rifle during a Combat Marksmanship Competition on Camp Lejeune, N.C., April 27, 2022. The purpose of this course of fire is to test the limit of the Marines’ shooting capabilities under physical exertion in order to develop proficiency in their individual skills and increase the lethality of the unit.
